FFXIV Is Doing a Jollibee Collab and I Have Questions
```html
Square Enix announced a Final Fantasy XIV collaboration with Jollibee. The Filipino fast food chain. Yes, that one. Naoki Yoshida revealed it during the Patch 7.5 Live Letter, with FFXIV composer Masayoshi Soken and community manager Toshio Murouchi also on stream apparently just vibing with the whole thing. I don't know what led to this meeting happening. I kind of love that it did.
The Emote Situation
There's a new in-game emote called "Eat Chicken." Your character eats chicken. That's it. That's the emote.
To get it, you either buy a qualifying collaboration meal at a participating Jollibee in the US or Canada, or you buy the collab clothing from Complex. Either way, you get a code to redeem on the Mog Station. Standard collab code stuff.
Worth noting: if you don't live near a Jollibee, the clothing route exists. Which is honestly fine because the merch actually looks kind of good.
What You're Actually Eating
Two FFXIV-themed meals. The first one is a chicken sandwich, regular fries, a peach mango pie, one-piece Chickenjoy with gravy, and the blue raspberry aether drink with crystal boba. The second is six-piece Chickenjoy with three blue raspberry boba drinks, which is clearly the better deal if you're going with friends.
The blue raspberry drink with clear boba is the only new menu item Jollibee is adding for this. Everything else is existing Jollibee. Canadian locations swap the blue raspberry for a pineapple quencher, which honestly sounds better to me but I'm not going to pretend I've tried either.
Collab runs April 21 through May 31, 2026.
The Merch
Limited-time apparel on Complex.com: crew neck sweater, t-shirt, and hooded sweatshirt. The designs have the Jollibee mascot riding a chocobo and Moogles eating Jollibee food. This is incredibly stupid and I kind of want the hoodie.
Fan Fest Timing Is Not a Coincidence
FFXIV Fan Fest is April 24-25 in Anaheim, CA. The Anaheim Jollibee location near the venue is running as a popup event with exclusive stickers. Square Enix absolutely timed this to run during Fan Fest and I respect the coordination.
Patch 7.5 itself drops April 28, 2026. So the collab kicks off a week before the patch and runs a month out. Makes sense as a hype window.
Is This Worth Your Time?
If you're already going to Fan Fest, the Jollibee popup is a no-brainer. If there's a Jollibee near you and you were already curious about the food, the collab meal gets you the emote with your order. If neither applies, the Complex merch is your only in unless you're willing to go out of your way.
The emote is "Eat Chicken." It is not going to change your life. But if you've spent any time in FFXIV emote-bombing your friends, you already know that's not the point.
